In Greater Noida, a tragic accident claimed the life of a woman after she was struck by a speeding SUV driven by a 17-year-old. The incident occurred in the Bisrakh area of Uttar Pradesh, with the teenager being taken into custody on Friday.
CCTV footage, now circulating on social media, captures the moment the SUV, traveling at high speed, overtakes a tractor before the driver loses control. The vehicle veers off course and collides with the pedestrian, dragging her along before crashing into a pole.
According to police reports cited by NDTV, the accident happened near the CRC society in Bisrakh. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Shilpi from Jatpura, Hardoi district, was on her way to a construction site for work when she was struck.
The Greater Noida police have since seized the SUV involved and launched a search for the driver, who was later apprehended.
