NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old woman was found dead with gunshot wounds in the GTB Enclave area of Shahdara district, Delhi Police said on Monday, as reported by ANI.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Neha Yadav stated, “We received a call about half an hour ago reporting that a girl had been shot. The incident took place in the GTB Enclave area. The deceased appears to be around 20 years old.”

She added that the woman has not yet been identified and confirmed that two bullet injuries were found on the body. “A detailed picture will emerge after the post-mortem,” Yadav said.

This incident follows a separate case reported on March 29 in Shahdara’s Vivek Vihar, where another woman was found dead inside a house.

Regarding that case, DCP Yadav said, “We received a call at 4:37 pm about a foul smell emanating from a house at 118 A, Satyam Enclave, Jhilmil Colony. These are DDA flats in Vivek Vihar.”

She added that the house belongs to Vivekanand Mishra, aged between 50 and 60. Inside, police discovered the intact body of a woman placed in a bag, wrapped in a blanket, and concealed in a box. An incense stick had been placed on top of the box.

Investigations into both cases are currently underway.
