Governor S Abdul Nazeer will administer the oath of office and secrecy to N Chandrababu Naidu and 25 ministers at a ceremony in Vijayawada at 11:27 AM, following the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) recent victory. Naidu will be sworn in as Andhra Pradesh chief minister for the fourth time, with the Cabinet including three ministers from the Jana Sena Party (JSP) and one from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). JSP chief Pawan Kalyan will take the oath as deputy chief minister, and Naidu’s son, Nara Lokesh, will join the Cabinet.

This ceremony comes after the TDP’s decisive win, securing 135 out of 175 seats, with JSP winning 21 and BJP eight seats. The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), which had 151 seats in the 2019 election, was reduced to just 11 seats this time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) chief ministers, and celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Rajinikanth will be prominent attendees.

The list of ministers was finalized around 1:15 AM after deliberations among Naidu, Kalyan, and top BJP leaders Amit Shah and JP Nadda in Amaravati. JSP’s Nadendla Manohar, Kandula Durgesh, and BJP’s Y Satya Kumar will be part of the Cabinet.

A TDP leader mentioned that one position in the council of ministers, which can have a maximum of 26 members including the chief minister, remains vacant. Naidu has aimed to balance experienced leaders with newcomers (17), while considering regional, caste, and gender representation.

The council will include three women, eight from backward classes, two from Scheduled Castes, one member from a Scheduled Tribe, and one Muslim. Additionally, there will be four Kapus and Kammas each, three Reddys, and one Vysya. Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and Kolusu Parthasarathy, who defected from the YSRCP before the elections, will also join the Cabinet.

Senior leaders Kanna Lakshminarayana, Ganta Srinivas Rao, Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, Ch Ayyanna Patrudu, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy (TDP), and Konathala Ramakrishna (JSP) will not be part of the Cabinet.
