NEW DELHI: Four members of a family died after a fire broke out at their house in Delhi’s Prem Nagar area on Tuesday.

The fire department received an alert about the blaze at approximately 3:30 AM, and two fire tenders quickly arrived at the scene.

Officials indicated that the fire originated from an inverter and rapidly spread to a nearby sofa on the first floor of the building. The four family members inhaled a significant amount of smoke. Despite being rescued by fire service personnel and transported to Rao Tularam Memorial Hospital, doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.
