On Friday night, a 14-year-old girl was raped by three boys while she was alone at home in the Chinhat neighborhood. Her parents had left to attend a wedding.
“Police have arrested two accused boys, while the third remains at large,” said SHO Chinhat Avnish Kumar Chaturvedi. He further stated that one of the apprehended defendants is a minor.
“An FIR has been lodged under IPC sections 376 D (gangrape), 452 (trespassing), 504 (insult), 506 (criminal intimidation) and the Pocso Act,” the Special Assistant to the President stated.
