Assam Flood Death Toll Rises to 96 as Three More Lives Lost

The death toll in Assam’s ongoing floods climbed to 96 on Monday after three more people, including two minors, lost their lives.

Despite this, there has been a significant improvement in the flood situation, with the number of affected residents dropping to 5.11 lakh on Monday from 5.97 lakh the previous day.

According to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), the minors’ deaths occurred in Dhubri, while the other fatality was reported in Nagaon.
