On Tuesday, Army troops successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt in Jammu and Kashmir’s Battal sector. One Army jawan was injured during the encounter with the infiltrating terrorists.
The operation is currently ongoing.
“Alert troops foiled an infiltration bid by effectively engaging the infiltrating terrorists with effective fire in the Battal Sector at 0300h. During the exchange of heavy fire, one Braveheart has been injured. Operations are continuing,” White Knight Corps posted on X.
This incident follows a day after security forces foiled twin terror attacks on an Army post and a Village Defence Group (VDG) member’s house in Rajouri, resulting in injuries to a soldier and a civilian. The terrorists initially targeted the VDG member’s house in the Gundha area of Khawas tehsil, firing shots and lobbing grenades when security personnel returned fire.
