NEW DELHI: Two women, Lakshmi Tomar and Diksha Jadon, were killed in Indore when a speeding BMW, traveling the wrong way, crashed into their scooter. The driver fled the scene immediately after the collision, and police are actively pursuing both the driver and the vehicle’s owner.

The fatal accident occurred in the Khajrana area while the women were returning from the Khajrana Ganesh temple fair. Witnesses reported that the impact threw the women onto the road; they were pronounced dead at the hospital due to severe injuries.

Manoj Singh Sendhav, Khajrana police station in-charge, confirmed the critical nature of their injuries and their subsequent deaths. Tomar, from Shivpuri, had moved to Indore to support her family after her father’s death, while Jadon, from Gwalior, worked at a public sector bank.

This incident follows a similar case in Pune earlier this year, where a minor driving a Porsche under the influence killed two IT professionals. The case sparked public outcry and led to the juvenile being sent to an observation home after initial leniency by the Juvenile Justice Board.
