Three doctors from Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital have been charged in connection with the death of MS student Dr. Kartikeya Srivastava, whose body was discovered in his car on Saturday.

Following a complaint from Kartikeya’s sister, an FIR has been filed against Dr. Sachin Yadav, an associate professor in the orthopaedic department, and two junior residents, including a female doctor.

The accused face serious allegations of both physical and mental abuse toward Kartikeya. Initially believed to have died by suicide, the autopsy indicated that he actually died from asphyxiation.

Kartikeya’s sister reported that he endured harassment from a senior student, Shivam Gupta, during his junior residency. Despite reporting these incidents to Dr. Yadav, she claims he exacerbated the situation with further mental harassment. Additionally, it was reported that Kartikeya, who suffered from deep vein thrombosis—a condition that restricts prolonged standing—was forced to work for 48 hours straight.
