At least 27 flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats on Friday, as the ongoing crisis shows no signs of resolution. In addition to the flights, threats were also issued to three hotels and the airport in Tirupati.

Among the affected flights were seven each from IndiGo, Vistara, and SpiceJet, along with six from Air India. Notable routes included IndiGo’s Udaipur-Delhi, Delhi-Istanbul, Jeddah-Mumbai, Mumbai-Istanbul, Hyderabad-Chandigarh, Pune-Jodhpur, and Kozhikode-Dammam.

In response to the threats, affected aircraft are taken to isolation bays for thorough inspections, resulting in delays. Over the past 12 days, more than 275 flights have been targeted, primarily through social media, as the Diwali travel rush approaches. This included a record 80 threats on Thursday alone.
