KULLU: Five men tragically lost their lives when their car fell into a 300-meter gorge in the Chauhar Valley of Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district on Saturday night while returning from a wedding.

The bodies were discovered by a shepherd near Vardhan village on Sunday morning. Police and local residents worked together to recover the victims from the wreckage of the vehicle. Authorities believe the driver likely lost control of the car due to nighttime conditions.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his condolences and pledged to provide support to the grieving families. District officials have also provided an immediate relief payment of Rs 25,000 to each of the deceased’s next of kin.
