As a member of CirclesOfLife, the NGO Shipbreaking Platform is pleased to share the consortium’s latest press release and eager to invite you to join us in building a more sustainable maritime sector.
The CirclesOfLife project aims at aligning maritime industry practices with EU laws, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), through the development of two impactful tools:
- Shipyard Environmental Performance Index (SEPI): a benchmarking tool for environmental performance.
- Cradle-to-Cradle Material Ship Passport: a comprehensive resource for sustainable shipbuilding and dismantling.
Together, these tools will guide stakeholders on critical measurements for EU regulatory compliance, shaping a more transparent and responsible industry.
You can stay connected with CirclesOfLife by filling out this form. By joining our community, you can:
- Receive regular project updates and newsletters;
- Be invited to our events and workshops, and
- Participate in the User-Group, contributing to tool development through interviews, surveys, and feedback sessions.
We hope you’ll join us in this journey to push the maritime sector towards true sustainability.
