NEW DELHI: The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has directed all government and private schools to raise awareness about cyber crimes among students through posters and banners. A circular issued on Friday outlined that the Delhi Police will provide the necessary materials, including brochures on topics such as cybersafety, cyber fraud, cyberbullying, online pornography, drug abuse, bullying, human trafficking, and online predators.
“This initiative aims to educate students on how to prevent cybercrimes and stay safe in the digital world,” the DoE stated.
In addition to the posters, schools have been advised to collaborate with local police and cybersecurity experts to conduct educational workshops.
“The workshops will cover important topics like identifying and reporting cyberbullying, safeguarding personal information, the importance of strong passwords and privacy settings, and recognizing scams and phishing attempts,” the circular explained.
