Following a brief encounter on Sunday evening, police detained a 40-year-old man accused of raping a 10-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district.
The accused, Mukesh Jatav, had a reward of Rs 25,000 for his capture.

Jatav was shot in the leg during the incident and is currently in the hospital. According to Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Sinha, Jatav fired two rounds at the cops before they responded in self-defense.
Jatav is accused of raping a kid on November 6th. According to police, Jatav approached the victim and her mother as they were returning home after selling corn and purchasing wheat flour.

“He informed the victim’s mother that the shopkeeper paid her Rs 100 less and that he will ensure that she receives that money back. He then urged the woman to send her kid with him to the business to get the remaining cash,” police claimed.
The girl was later discovered unconscious in the Myana region of the district.
