Five people, including the son of a police head constable, were killed in a tragic car crash involving a truck in Udaipur’s Ambari area, authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred around midnight on Thursday. According to Station House Officer (SHO) Himanshu Singh Rajawat of the Sukher police station, the victims were traveling in a car when the collision took place. The group was heading towards Debari on the wrong side of the road when they suddenly encountered an oncoming truck-trailer. Due to a downhill slope, the truck was speeding, and despite the driver’s efforts to steer away from the collision, there was no room to maneuver. The truck and car collided head-on, crushing the car severely.

The impact was so forceful that all five occupants of the car were killed instantly. A police team arrived at the scene, and with the help of local residents, the bodies were extracted from the wreckage and transported to the mortuary at MB Hospital.

Authorities have seized the truck-trailer and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
