In an official statement, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) confirmed, “It has been decided by the Government that Dr. Manmohan Singh will be accorded a state funeral. The funeral will take place at 11:45 AM on 28th December 2024 at Nigambodh Ghat, New Delhi.”
Manmohan Singh passed away on December 26 at the age of 92 after a prolonged battle with age-related illnesses. His death has led to an outpouring of grief and tributes globally. The government has declared a seven-day period of state mourning in his honour.
