NEW DELHI/NOIDA: Several educational institutions, including two private schools in Delhi and Noida, as well as St. Stephen’s College in the capital, received bomb threats via email on Friday, triggering immediate security checks.
According to police sources, Ahlcon International School in East Delhi’s Pandav Nagar and Shiv Nadar School in Noida were among those targeted. Upon receiving the threats, bomb detection and disposal teams, along with dog squads, fire department officials, and local police, were dispatched to the premises. However, no suspicious items have been found so far, officials said.
Ahlcon International School issued a statement to parents, informing them of the situation. “Due to an email threat received this morning, we are compelled to close the school today, prioritizing the safety of our students. Your patience and cooperation are highly appreciated. The competent authorities have been contacted for further instructions and clearance,” the statement read.
Authorities are investigating the source of the emails, and security agencies remain on high alert.
