Bengaluru: Three members of a family in Mysuru were found dead in an apparent suicide case linked to financial distress and online betting, police said on Tuesday.

According to Mysuru Rural Inspector ML Shekhar, the tragic sequence began on Monday when a 45-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after recording a video accusing his younger twin brother and sister-in-law of financial fraud. In the video, he claimed they had taken loans in his sister’s name, leading to relentless harassment from moneylenders.

“He urged the police to take strict legal action against his younger brother and sister-in-law for fraudulently obtaining loans,” Shekhar stated.

Following his death, authorities registered a case of abetment to suicide against the younger brother and his wife. However, by Tuesday morning, the two accused were also found dead in Vijayanagar.

The bodies were sent for autopsy at KR Hospital before being handed over to the family. Investigations into both the suicides and alleged financial misconduct are ongoing, with separate cases registered at Mysuru Rural Police Station and Vijayanagar Police Station.
