NEW DELHI: According to authorities on Thursday, a man has been taken into custody in relation to the murder of Anita Chaudhary, a 50-year-old beautician whose body was dismembered and interred in a hole in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Before being caught in South Mumbai, the accused, Gulamuddin Farooqui, had been evading capture for nine days.

A combined team of Rajasthani and V P Road police officers arrested Gulamuddin after receiving a tip that he was hiding in Mumbai. He was then turned over to the Jodhpur police for additional examination.

In the final week of October, Gulamuddin is said to have slain Anita Chaudhary because of the gold jewels she was wearning.

Her body was dismembered and interred in a 10-foot trench close to Gulamuddin’s home following the murder. When a case was filed on October 28, the crime was discovered.

Anita had gone to Gulamuddin’s house the day she vanished, it was discovered during the investigation.
Later on, his wife admitted to the police that her husband was the murderer. Gulamuddin escaped to Mumbai in order to avoid being apprehended, but his wife was detained for her role in the murder.
