“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
As I look back on my life, I realize that it has had adversities and prosperity in equal parts. But without any doubt, self-belief and confidence are the cornerstone for success.
However, the journey of prosperity begins with a simple step: to have a roadmap to achieve your aspirations. Drawing a path towards destination with utmost belief in yourself is a prerequisite.
Since you can only reflect that which is within you, an inception of your success story can only begin with the self-worth within you. If we were to trace this self-worth to an atomic level, then it would all boil down to your courage ‘to be what you are’. We often hide away from being what we really are, as we are constantly afraid of other people’s criticism. Instead, not only is it paramount to accept and be yourself, but you must also exhibit your uniqueness firmly. The one who is able to unlock true self-worth, not only remains invincible but grows stronger in the face of challenges. This is when your inner worth transpires into a recognition on the outside by the people around you. The only way to make people believe in your worthiness, is by believing in it yourself first.
When you strengthen your core muscles, you live a healthier life. Similarly, when you strengthen the core of your identity, you will find prosperity on your way. In this course, the challenge that follows is that of fortitude. But with determination and passion you can stand strong even when you’re standing alone. Now that you believe in yourself you are ready to confront any situation. On the contrary, the people who attach their self-worth with ‘monetary things’, lose it in the time of adversity. But when you link your worth to self-belief, you will flourish no matter the circumstances. The lesson we learn here is that what is meant to remain with you, it will in any case. And the people who are meant to leave your side will leave no matter what. Hence, it is futile to lose your confidence over temporary situations and people. Selfhood is the only thing that will stay by your side and help you reassemble your life.
