Premium project heavy lift carrier AAL Shipping (AAL) was awarded ‘Best Shipping Line – Project Cargo’ at the 2024 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards, which took place at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund on June 25, to coincide with transport logistic China.
Organised by Asia Cargo News, the annual awards recognise leading service providers from airlines, ports, logisticians, 3PLs and shipping lines, amongst other supply chain industry stakeholders. AAL is honoured to once again take home the trophy for Best Shipping Line – Project Cargo, as voted for by the international readership of Asia Cargo News.
The nomination and voting process allowed the more than 15,000 readers of Asia Cargo News and e-news subscribers to first determine the leading companies in the market and then select their winners, making the results the opinion of core supply chain stakeholders across the region.
“This honour is particularly important to us at AAL,” said Jack Zhou, General Manager and Chief Representative of AAL China, who was on hand at the lavish gala ceremony to collect the trophy.
“We are all acutely aware of the challenges that have faced shipping lines all over the globe in the past year. To receive this recognition from the service users and readers of Asia Cargo News across the continent is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our teams to uphold the highest level of service for our project cargo customers.
“I am especially pleased to have several of my AAL China colleagues with me tonight to help share this achievement. They can be very proud of their contributions to our daily operations and the hard work that goes into the safe and efficient handling of the very complex and valuable cargoes that we carry around the world.”
