AGRA: A family in Uttar Pradesh has joyfully reunited with their son after 22 long years. Babloo Sharma, who wandered off while playing at the age of 4 and unknowingly boarded a train to Delhi, was located at a children’s home in the national capital—where he spent his childhood trying to remember his way back to his small village in Bulandshahr.

In 2002, while playing, Babloo ended up at the nearby Chola station and, following the crowd, boarded a Delhi-bound train. Once in Delhi, he was found by Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel, who discovered him wandering aimlessly at the station and took him to a children’s home. At that time, he could barely recall details about his village, Dhanaura, but as he grew older, he held onto the hope of reuniting with his family.

After reaching adulthood, Babloo continued to live at the children’s home, working there as a server for visitors. Despite the passage of time, he never completely forgot his roots, often reminiscing about his village, though the memories remained hazy.

Recently, as he began to open up about his early life, the GRP took an interest in his story. About six months ago, while piecing together his past, they stumbled upon a promising lead that eventually helped reunite Babloo with his family.
