On Tuesday night, the CISF detained a 24-year-old man dressed as a 67-year-old who was trying to board an Air Canada flight at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. According to a senior CISF official on Wednesday, Guru Sewak Singh was taken into custody after security personnel deemed his behavior suspicious.
Presumed to be a sexagenarian, the suspect showed a passport bearing the name Rashvindar Singh Sahota. But his young looks, speech, and skin tone gave the CISF officers cause for concern, which prompted a closer look. Upon closer inspection, Singh’s hair and beard were painted white, and he wore spectacles to give the impression that he was older.
After being questioned further, Singh revealed his true identity and produced a mobile phone with a digital copy of his real passport. His passport said that he was Guru Sewak Singh, a 24-year-old. The CISF turned over Singh and his possessions to the Delhi Police so they could pursue legal action.
