The Joseph Schulte freighter has left the Ukrainian port of Odesa and is its route to Istanbul, according to Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM).
The yacht, which belongs to both by a Chinese bank and Bernhard Schulte, is traveling through the territorial waters of Ukraine, Romania, and Turkey “to allow for the safe passage of southbound vessels,” according to BSM.
Ukraine proposed this week a “humanitarian corridor” in the Black Sea to free cargo ships detained in its harbors since Russia launched an extensive invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
