Kongsberg Digital has signed an agreement with Cool Company Ltd. (CoolCo) to extend the deployment of Vessel Insight across its fleet of liquefied natural gas carriers. This agreement builds on a successful pilot project and transitions the solution into full-scale implementation across CoolCo’s owned fleet of nine LNG carriers.
By integrating Vessel Insight, CoolCo gains real-time access to fleet-wide operational data, vessel-specific dashboards, and analytics tools that support data-driven decision-making for improved efficiency. The SaaS-based solution securely collects, processes, and shares critical vessel data, enhancing transparency and standardisation across all vessels.
Through a structured and automated data collection process, Vessel Insight supports compliance reporting, operational oversight, and emissions monitoring, reinforcing CoolCo’s focus on efficiency and sustainability. The Type Approval for D-INF, Cyber Resilience, and IACS UR E27 from DNV ensures that the solution meets the highest industry standards for secure and reliable data handling.
“Optimising vessel performance to reduce fuel consumption and emissions is a key priority for us. With Vessel Insight, we gain deeper operational insights, streamline reporting, and take a more proactive approach to sustainability.”, said Richard Tyrrell, Chief Executive Officer at CoolCo.
“As the maritime industry shifts towards lower emissions and data-driven operations, scalable solutions like Vessel Insight help operators meet changing regulations and operational needs. With Vessel Insight, CoolCo has a scalable and secure infrastructure that enhances efficiency and supports their long-term goals.”, said Shane McArdle, Chief Executive Officer at Kongsberg Digital.
