CHINTAMANI: According to reports by Ranganath K, a 25-year-old daily wage worker was arrested for raping a 65-year-old woman within the premises of the General Hospital in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur district on Wednesday.
The hospital’s administrative officer, Dr. Santosh Kumar, confirmed that the crime occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the oxygen plant within the hospital compound. The accused, identified as Irfan, is a resident of Hyder Ali Nagar.
Around 1:30 a.m., some hospital employees heard noises coming from a shed near the oxygen plant. Upon investigating, they found Irfan attempting to molest the woman. The employees intervened and initially sent him away.
However, approximately an hour later, Irfan returned and raped the woman. The hospital staff apprehended him and handed him over to the police.
