INDORE: In a significant development for Indore’s transportation infrastructure, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will provide technical advice for the development of a Metro rail system connecting Indore with Ujjain and Pithampur.
The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited has issued a notification regarding this development.
The proposed Metro networks will cover approximately 84 km across two corridors, linking the neighbouring cities.
In the first phase of the project, the DMRC will prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for a Metro line connecting Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to Lavkush Square in Indore via the Nanakheda bus stand.
According to senior officials, this ambitious project aims to enhance connectivity between three important cities in Madhya Pradesh, and it is expected to revolutionise public transportation in the region.
