On Saturday morning, a woman was removed from a private airline flight to New Delhi at Pune’s Lohegaon airport after a violent outburst in which she assaulted two fellow passengers and a CISF constable. The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. during the boarding process.

Airport authorities reported that the woman initially attacked a brother and sister seated in their assigned seats. When the crew intervened and called for CISF personnel, constables Priyanka Reddy and Sonika Pal were dispatched to handle the situation. However, the woman reacted aggressively, slapping and biting Constable Reddy. As the situation escalated, CISF officers had to restrain her and remove both her and her husband from the flight.

She was handed over to the airport police, who registered a case. “We released her after issuing a notice requiring her to join the investigation as needed,” stated Senior Inspector Ajay Sankeshwari.
