Hopper dredger COSTA ATLANTICA reportedly struck and destroyed three pilings at Calais port, France, on Apr 15, either while being engaged in dredging, or leaving port. Dredger sustained serious damages including lost overboard suction pipe, which now presents a navigational obstacle. Dredger was berthed, left Calais in the afternoon Apr 16.
