The White House website experienced notable updates following President Donald Trump’s inauguration, with several pages removed, including those featuring the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, and other foundational documents. The homepage now prominently displays a silhouette of Trump alongside the bold statement, “AMERICA IS BACK,” with links to presidential statements, remarks, and newly signed executive orders.

Regular visitors quickly noticed significant omissions. Pages on topics like tourism, equity, internships, and information about former presidents were missing. Biographies of past presidents, including Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton, generated error messages.

USA Today reported that the Spanish-language version of the White House website also displayed a 404 error, signaling it was temporarily unavailable. The White House attributed these issues to ongoing updates, stating the website was still under development.

The changes sparked confusion and concern online. On X (formerly Twitter), one user commented, “Yes, the White House did remove the U.S. Constitution from their website today. More foreshadowing on what’s to come.” Another user called the situation “serious.”

In response to growing criticism, Principal Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields clarified: “It’s day two. We are in the process of developing, editing, and tweaking the White House website. Some archived content has temporarily gone dormant. We are committed to reloading that content soon.”

The administration urged patience during the website transition and affirmed its commitment to reinstating the Spanish-language section. Similar website changes occurred when Trump first assumed office in 2017, including the removal of pages related to LGBTQ+ rights and climate change.
