Martin Ackerman, previously CEO of BW LPG is joining Singapore-headquartered ship manager Synergy Group as CCO.
As CCO of Synergy Ackermann will be responsible for finance, commercial, strategy and transformation intervention.
Ackermann has been a strategic advisor to Synergy since the beginning of the year and as of 1 September took up the role of the group’s CCO based in its Copenhagen office.
He comes onboard in the same month Synergy announced it would be taking over the technical management of the entire of Danish shipowner Maersk Tankers.

Most recently CEO of Oslo-listed BW LPG, Ackermann was previously CEO of Evergas, Managing Director of Eitzen Gas, Managing Director of B-Gas and a board member of the World LPG Association.
The role at BW LPG saw Ackermann working closely with Synergy.
