An IndiGo flight from Abu Dhabi to Delhi was safely diverted to Muscat early Monday morning following a technical snag that caused the aircraft to “vibrate” from takeoff, according to passengers. The flight’s crew informed the passengers of a technical issue, and they were accommodated in a hotel while awaiting a new flight to Delhi.

The flight, 6E 1406, departed from the UAE at 12:20 am, after a 40-minute delay, carrying 129 passengers and six crew members. One passenger reported, “The aircraft vibrated significantly during takeoff. Some passengers in the emergency exit row heard noises resembling a door opening and closing. The seat belt sign remained on for an hour, and the pilot then announced a technical problem, prompting the diversion to Muscat.”
Upon landing safely in Muscat, passengers remained on board for an hour while technical teams attempted to fix the issue. During this time, some passengers requested refreshments. The lead air hostess explained the limited food supply due to IndiGo’s no-frills service and prioritized meals for elderly, young passengers, and those with medical conditions.
Passengers were eventually asked to disembark and waited in the terminal, as they did not have Oman visas. The crew later informed them that the aircraft had a hydraulic snag. IndiGo managed to accommodate non-Oman visa holders in a transit hotel at the airport within 2.5 hours.
“We are now waiting to be flown to Delhi,” a passenger stated at 3:30 pm Monday (India time).
