New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has claimed a significant victory against international drug trafficking with the arrest of two alleged traffickers and the seizure of over 5.9 kilograms of methamphetamine.

The suspects, identified as Marian Kone (29) from Ivory Coast and Kingsley Onyekachi (37) from Nigeria, are believed to be key figures in the cartel’s operations in Delhi and surrounding areas, according to a senior police officer.

The seized drugs, valued at over Rs 20 crore in the international market, were cleverly hidden in baby food boxes to avoid detection, said Amit Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).

Acting on a tip-off, the Special Cell team set up a trap near a petrol pump in Mahipalpur, where they apprehended Kone, who was carrying a backpack filled with drugs. During her interrogation, police conducted a raid at a house in west Delhi’s Nilothi Extension, leading to the arrest of Onyekachi and the seizure of additional drugs, the DCP stated.
