NEW DELHI:

In a significant move, the White House announced on Thursday that US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will visit India for high-level discussions on shared US-India priorities as Prime Minister Narendra Modi gears up for his third consecutive term.

During a phone call initiated by President Joe Biden to congratulate PM Modi on his victory, the two leaders engaged in a fruitful discussion about Sullivan’s upcoming visit to New Delhi; the White House read the call, saying President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. spoke today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India to congratulate him and the National Democratic Alliance on their historic victory in India’s general election.

The white house further elaborated that the two leaders, PM Modi and US President Joe Biden, were about to discuss National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s upcoming travel to New Delhi to engage the new government on shared US-India priorities, including the strategic and trusted technology partnership.
