Machia Safari Park suffered a significant loss on Monday as its sole tigress, Ambika, succumbed to heat stroke. After her afternoon meal, Ambika went to rest but did not wake up, confirmed park ranger Balaram Bishnoi. “We attempted to wake her in the evening, but she remained unresponsive. Sadly, we found her lifeless,” Bishnoi stated.

Ambika, aged ten, was transferred to the park from Kanpur in 2016 along with a male tiger named Anthony. Following Ambika’s demise, Anthony, who is also slightly over ten years old, remains alone in the park.
