On Wednesday morning, Maharashtra’s Hingoli district experienced a 4.5 magnitude earthquake, which also affected neighbouring areas including Nanded, Parbhani, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Washim.
Officials reported no casualties or significant property damage. The earthquake struck at 7:14 am, originating from Rameshwar Tanda village in Kalamnuri taluka, Hingoli. It was felt across Hingoli, Nanded, Parbhani, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Marathwada, and Washim in Vidarbha.
Authorities from Nanded urged residents to remove stones from tin rooftops to prevent added weight, following previous tremors in March measuring 4.5 and 3.6 in magnitude centered at Jamb village, Kalmanuri taluka, Hingoli.
