MAHABUBABAD: A man allegedly killed his wife after she refused to cook mutton curry in Upparagudem village, Seerole mandal, Mahabubabad district, late on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as M Kalavathi (35), succumbed to a fatal head injury after her husband, M Balu, an agricultural laborer, attacked her with a stick during a heated argument.

Incident Details

According to Seerole sub-inspector (SI) Ch Nagesh, the accused had purchased mutton and asked his wife to prepare the dish. When she refused, an argument escalated into violence, leading Balu to assault her with a stick. Kalavathi collapsed on the spot and died instantly.

The police have taken Balu into custody and launched an investigation. The victim’s body has been sent to Mahabubabad government hospital for postmortem.
