Containership MOL Charisma has been successfully refloated following a grounding between Vung Tau, Vietnam, and Singapore.
Ocean Network Express (ONE) said the 2007-built, MOL Charisma had run aground on 5 July evening while sailing from Vung Tau to Singapore. The container line said the vessel was successfully refloated on the morning of 6 July. There were no injuries or oil spills as a result of the incident.
The MOL Charisma is deployed on ONE’s East Coast 5 Service.
“We are currently waiting for the vessel owner’s assessment of the vessel condition and will advise further regarding her schedule and cargo arrangements once more information is available,” ONE said in a customer advisory.
In September last year the MOL Charisma suffered a cargo fire off Sri Lanka.
