Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering has won a RMB441 million ($69.2m) order to build LNG bunkering vessel for CNOOC Energy Development.
The unit of CIMC Enric will build the 132.9 meters long vessel equipped with cargo tank with a capacity of no less than 12,000 c m, equipped with electric propulsion system.
Upon delivery, the vessel will be used for coastal LNG bunkering, LNG transshipment between inland LNG refilling stations and Yangtze river transfer station, servicing for China’s oil to gas programme.
“It is the first CSS-classified LNG bunkering vessel in China, which has a significant meaning to CIMC Enric to develop marine LNG business,” said Yang Xiaohu, general manager of CIMC Enric,
“We are optimistic about LNG bunkering market and we will build more clean energy transportation vessels and bunkering vessels in the future,” Yang added.
