NEW DELHI: Delhi Police confiscated ₹47 lakh in cash during a routine check in Sangam Vihar, South Delhi, officials reported on Tuesday.
The cash was found in a car driven by Vaseem Malik, a 24-year-old local resident who identified himself as a scrap dealer. The vehicle was stopped by the Static Surveillance Team (SST).
When Malik failed to provide valid documentation for the cash, authorities seized the money. Officials stated that an investigation is underway to trace its source, with further legal action being taken in accordance with protocol.
