MUMBAI: Dinesh Nandwana, 62, the chairman emeritus of Vakrangee, passed away on Friday while the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was conducting a raid at his residence in Andheri (East), reports VijayV Singh. Police have stated that the cause of death will be determined after the postmortem. Sources suggest that Nandwana suffered a health complication during the raid, which led to his death.
The MIDC police have registered an accidental death report. A senior police officer confirmed that Nandwana’s family has not filed any complaints of mistreatment.
The ED’s Jalandhar unit was conducting searches at multiple locations, including Nandwana’s residence, when he experienced health issues. During such raids, the ED typically records statements from those present at the premises and restricts their movement and communication throughout the process.
