Pune: Pune Police provided a detailed explanation in court on Thursday regarding including IPC Section 307 in the FIR against Manorama Khedkar, the mother of IAS probationer Puja Khedkar. The police alleged that Manorama Khedkar had threatened the complainant by placing a gun to their head and was about to pull the trigger when the complainant ducked in fear, with other accused restraining her.
The Pune Police have requested a five-day custody for Manorama Khedkar in connection with a land dispute case. They described her, along with her husband Dilip and three others named in the FIR, as “influential and politically active.” The court in Paud granted police custody until July 20.
Air India Flight: On Friday, Air India confirmed that all passengers aboard Flight AI183, which was en route from Delhi to San Francisco and was diverted to Russia due to a technical issue, are safe.
The flight made an emergency landing at Krasnoyarsk International Airport in Krasnoyarsk Krai after the cockpit crew detected a potential problem in the cargo hold. The aircraft, carrying 225 passengers and 19 crew members, was met by airport authorities, and all onboard were safely taken to the terminal for further processing.
