Russia’s seaborne oil product exports in May rose to 9.595 million metric tons, up 10.4% month on month, after seasonal and unplanned maintenance at refineries and a fuel export ban was lifted, data from industry sources and Reuters calculations showed.
Reuters calculations based on data from industry sources showed that Russia’s offline primary oil refining capacity, at 3.392 million metric tons, was down by 27.9% compared to April.
In May, Russia’s government suspended a ban on gasoline exports until June 30.
Total oil product exports via the Baltic ports of Primorsk, Vysotsk, St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga in May rose to 4.732 million tons, up by 0.8% month on month, data from market sources showed.
Fuel exports via Russia’s Black Sea and Azov Sea ports in May increased by 20.9% to 4.002 million tons.
Oil products export supplies from Russia’s Arctic ports of Murmansk and Arkhangelsk last month rose by 48.5% to 83,000 tons.
Fuel export loadings at Russia’s Far East ports in May rose by 22.4% to 787,400 tons, data from sources and Reuters calculations showed.
