On February 25, Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) virtually introduced the upcoming 2nd Maritime India Summit 2021, which will be jointly organised by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, FICCI as Industrial Partner and EY as Knowledge Partner from 2nd March 2021 – 4th March 2021.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit. Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya will chair the session.
During a press conference, Mrs. H.K Joshi, CMD, SCI highlighted the day-wise session of the summit with a presentation and also stated that these sessions aim to highlight the high investment potential of the Indian Maritime Sector, in line with the Govt. of India’s Maritime Vision of 2030.
Mrs. H.K Joshi shared the Maritime India Summit 2021 digital brochure and also launched the digital brochure for Breakout Session 3.
The 3-day event will mark vast investment opportunities in each of the Indian maritime states and union territories. The 3-day summit will have multiple parallel sessions and breakout sessions with the topic “Opportunities in Maritime Financing and Insurance”. The session will cover the key trends and developments in Maritime Banking & Financial Services, Financing of Ports, Port Terminal & Port-based Industries, Financing of Coastal, Inland Waterways & Allied Infrastructure as well as the Challenges & Solution related to Ship Financing & Financing the revival of Indian shipbuilding sector. The session will be graced by global eminent leaders followed by the panel discussion. Around 24 countries will participate in the summit.
