In a joint operation on Friday, the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Haryana Special Task Force (STF) killed three shooters linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang responsible for a recent murder at a Burger King outlet in Delhi.

The encounter took place in Sonipat’s Kharkhoda area, resulting in the deaths of Ashish alias Lalu, Sunny Kharar, and Vicky Ridhana. A Delhi Police officer was injured but is reported to be safe.

Ashish and Vicky were identified as key perpetrators in the June 18 Burger King shooting at Rajouri Garden, where Aman Joon was killed. The assailants, riding a motorcycle, fired over a dozen rounds at the outlet. Gangster Himanshu Bhau claimed responsibility for the attack, seeking revenge for the death of his associate “Shakti Dada.”

Each of the three deceased criminals had a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, as announced by Haryana Police. Ashish was wanted in 13 cases, including murder, attempt to murder, and robbery. Sunny was implicated in 4-5 cases of similar crimes.

In May, the Delhi Police invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the Himanshu Bhau gang due to their involvement in multiple criminal activities. This followed an incident where the gang fired at the Fusion car showroom in Delhi and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crores. Interpol has also issued a red-corner notice against Himanshu Bhau.
