In a tragic incident, a man and his son, both lawyers, were fatally shot by assailants on their way to the Chapra court in Bihar’s Saran district on Wednesday. The victims, Ram Ayodhya Prasad Yadav (70) and his son Sunil Kumar Yadav (30), hailed from Methwalia village. They were immediately taken to Chapra Sadar Hospital but were declared dead upon arrival.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the murders may have been motivated by a land dispute. Saran SP Kumar Ashish reported that two suspects have been arrested, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining culprits. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team from Muzaffarpur has also been called in to assist with the investigation.
