PRAYAGRAJ: In light of the massive influx of devotees and traffic restrictions in place until the final bathing day of Mahakumbh-2025 on Mahashivratri (February 26), the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) has revised the examination schedule for High School and Intermediate students in Prayagraj.

The February 24 exams for both Class 10 and Class 12 have now been rescheduled to March 9, with the timings remaining unchanged.

  • Class 10: The Elementary Hindi exam (8:30 AM – 11:45 AM) and the Healthcare exam (2:00 PM – 5:15 PM) will now take place on March 9.
  • Class 12: The Military Science exam (morning shift) and Hindi/General Hindi exam (afternoon shift) have also been moved to March 9.

Revised Schedule Only for Prayagraj

“This change applies only to Prayagraj. In all other districts, the High School and Intermediate exams will be conducted as per the original schedule,” said UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh.

In a recent meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, district magistrates of Ayodhya and Varanasi, where Mahakumbh-related crowds are also significant, assured authorities that alternative routes have been arranged for students appearing in the February 24 exams.

“Since officials in these districts have ensured smooth student movement, exams there will proceed as scheduled. Authorities have also been directed to inform students about these alternative routes to ensure timely arrival at exam centers,” Singh added.
