US Issues Travel Advisory for India: Avoid Northeast, J&K, Central, and Eastern Regions

The US has issued a revised travel advisory cautioning its citizens against traveling to Manipur, Jammu & Kashmir, and areas of central and eastern India affected by Naxalite activity.

The State Department’s updated advisory highlights increased risks in the northeastern states. “Exercise increased caution in India due to crime,” the advisory stated.
