Sea Consortium inked an order for two 7,000 teu containerships with CSSC Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
The boxship pair will be 272.5 metres length and 47.8 metres width, featuring high-energy efficiency.
In April last year, Sea Consortium placed its first order at CSSC Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for the construction of four 7,000teu containership and later extended the orders to ten vessels.
The latest deal brought the total number of 7,000teu boxships ordered by Sea Consortium at Waigaoqiao to 12.
