A 30-year-old lady was allegedly stabbed many times by a neighbour in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar after she removed herself from uncomfortable exchanges, police said on Tuesday.
The culprit, Ravinder Singh (also known as Goldy), 36, has been detained, and the weapon used in the attack has been retrieved.

The incident occurred late Monday night about 11:30 p.m., when Singh entered the woman’s home and attacked her with a knife, authorities said.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer, the man received multiple stab wounds and was immediately rushed to the hospital for surgery. “She is currently being monitored post-operation,” the surgeon stated.

A case of attempted murder was registered.According to the inquiry, the woman relocated to the neighborhood with her husband and children two years ago. She and Singh had occasional interactions, but when she became uneasy, she began to avoid him.
Singh, outraged by her behavior, allegedly broke into her home and assaulted her.

The police have opened an attempted murder investigation based on the victim’s statement and medical report.
